I'm Hannah and I'm 17. I like Supernatural, Doctor Who, Skyrim, Community, sleeping, Parks & Rec, Merlin, Jensen Ackles, broccoli cheddar soup from Panera, and books.
Basically, a lot of bad things keep happening irl and it has seriously hindered my reading. I don't really feel up to writing a lengthy review or anything, but I will say that I enjoyed this book. I adored the three main characters and loved watching them grow. I love Ellen Hopkins's writing style, and thought the imagery was beautiful (as always, haha). The one thing I kinda got annoyed with was the relationship development between the characters, and how unrealistic it seemed to be. It's probably unfair for me to make these assumptions because I live a very different life than those of the characters in this book, and don't truly know how close people can become to one another under those circumstances. This whole thing is kind of a jumbled mess, but all in all I am glad I read this book, and hope I will jump back into reading like I used to :)
Not sure how active I will be in the next few whatever. Lots of cruddy personal things going on atm and I don't have the time or energy to read much :(
Oh my god. I finished this book a few minutes ago and I can't stop smiling. This series is my friend's favorite and she lent me this book a few weeks ago. I finally got around to reading it and just. omg. I loved the characters so much. I think Halt was my favorite character, but I really loved Will and Horace as well. I can't wait to keep reading this series.
I really enjoyed this book. There were times when I felt bored, and it did take me forever to read, especially for such a short book. The characters were interesting and I loved all the bits about names and their meanings, and the significance of dark and light. Four stars :)
I've been in the worst reading slump oh my god. I can't read anything but Homestuck. Hopefully I'll do some ~real reading soon and be back to updating :)
Having just completed the Harry Potter series (a little late, but whatever~), I can't focus on anything that isn't Harry Potter. This was a 92k drarry fic written by ff.net author Sara's Girl and OH MY GOD. I recommend this to anyone who ships Draco/Harry because ugh this was one of the best fics I've ever read. The UST and buildup was absolutely perfect. There is also a sequel called Foundations, which can be found on the author's ff.net account as well. Seriously, this was too good.
I'm on my phone so this is gonna be crazy short but just.. wow. One of my favorite books ever. I loved almost everything about this. At the very least, I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever been passionate about fandom. I picked this up this afternoon and couldn't put it down. Five stars :)
I bought the following books with giftcards I got for Christmas:
Hope everyone had a great holiday :)
I'm a little bit late to the Harry Potter club but omg I stayed up late to finish this last night and I think it might be my favorite installment so far. I'm about 150 pages or so into the last book, excited to finally be able to finish the series, but sad to almost be done.
Decided to add the books manually because my GR shelves are a mess as it is. I'll continue tomorrow or a few days after Christmas :)
I don't know if this will be ~permanent, but I'm definitely eager to try some new bookish sites. I'm not really into the crap Goodreads is trying to pull right now, so hopefully Booklikes proves to be a nice alternative :)
I'll probably start organizing my shelves when i find the energy to move from the living room to my bedroom soon.
